Beatriz Porto No.1 orthodontist literally lifted up my confidence, they were very precise with how I wanted my teeth to look and they turned out absolutely amazing. The team is so caring and they make you feel so comfortable would definitely recommend to my family and friends if they ever need their teeth perfect.
My daughter had complex dental issues which meant first a removable brace when she was very young then fixed braces as a teen. Now 7 years later she's happy and confident with her teeth. Everyone at No1 was fantastic. During COVID she was still only 10 years old but their reassurance meant she happily went into her appointment without any parents. All the technicians are brilliant, I love the way all staff input is listened to regardless of their level. Makes for a great outcome for my daughter. Thank you so much.
The girls at No.1 have been incredible throughout the entire process of my braces journey! I have been coming here for 2+ years & they have been amazing with every moment! I have had no complaints & problems whith No.1 at all, even when i had any slight issue with the brace itself, i went straight back to No.1 and they fixed it with no issue’s! At 64 years old, I wondered if the 2 years plus aligner plan, was doable or worth it. I took the plunge and I am really pleased with the results. Anjli gave my a lot of information and time for me to make my decision and I found it an easy process to go through. No one ever noticed my clear aligners. Laura was my main contact who oversaw my treatment and she's really easy to ask any questions as you go through treatment, always felt I was in safe hands and is very positive in her approach to get the best outcome for you, so just do it 😀
Had a wonderful experience for my 3 year braces journey with the Dental nurses all being friendly and easy going. Most importantly, my teeth problems have been fixed amazingly well.
I had a very positive experience with No. 1 Orthodontist in Mickleover. From my initial consultation onwards, the entire team was friendly, professional, and welcoming. The orthodontists took the time to explain the treatment process and answer all of my questions, making me feel informed and comfortable throughout my time as a patient. I chose Angel Aligners and was very impressed with the care, attention, and support I received from the team. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I was unable to complete my treatment. However, my experience with the practice was excellent from start to finish, and I was always treated with kindness, professionalism, and respect. Anyone in Derby who is looking for an orthodontist for their children - go to No1! We were originally referred to another orthodontist where we had a terrible experience with a rude and insulting dentist. Coming to No1 was such a relief! The staff are friendly, caring and efficient, creating a relaxed family atmosphere, which is so important. Two of my children had private treatment and one via the NHS and the service was exactly the same - no two tier system. All three had a very positive outcome from their time at No1. Thank you so much to all the staff for your kind and caring approach!

I Have been with No1 since my 18th Birthday and had my braces on for 2 1/2 years. Today I had them off!! From my experience, No1 Orthodontics were extremely professional and skilled with the work that they do. The entire team were all so patient and kind and always helpful. Really friendly and quality service!!! After 20 years of bothering about my teeth, today I finally got my braces removed to see myself smile confidently for the first time. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and especially my orthodontic therapist Charlotte, who alongside some of Anne-Marie’s expertise, developed great rapport and made the appointments feel comfortable and easy; ended up debating whether I even wanted them off in the end!! 😁 Would reccommend :)
Our teenage boys had braces with Anjli. The whole process was straightforward and hassle-free. It's well worth the investment to see a specialist orthodontist rather than a general dentist who offers braces. We are thrilled with the results - both boys now have a gorgeous Hollywood smile. I’m sad as we’ve just had our last appointment! No.1 orthodontists have been brilliant with my son, I would whole heartedly recommend them. My son is autistic & I didn’t know how he would get on with orthodontic treatment. We took it one step at a time with each step explained clearly. First twin blocks, then braces, top & bottom teeth, many check ups, finally braces off, retainers fitted & now the most fabulous teeth. My son was brilliant but we couldn’t have done it without everyone at no.1. Always a warm friendly welcome at reception, then gentle, kind & efficient treatment, & wonderful support throughout. I’ve been waiting 30 minutes for my appointment. and they’ve never told me I had gum disease as I found out by my dentist. I think that’s important to let your patients know if they have gum disease….
They are amazing. They talked me into the steps. The person's who treated me, they helped me a lot by saying my teeth will be straight, but you got to trust the process and my surgeon was very kind to me, very friendly. They were never rude, always punctual and I am very happy with my results. I highly recommend them.
Amazing people, amazing dentists, my teeth started off so bad I didn’t even know if they could recover. Fast forward to now the so straight it’s amazing what these guys do. So grateful for them. Thank you to all the amazing staff it’s just such a nice vibe in there.

Such an incredible dental team here! I’d recommend them all the way. I needed an emergency tooth repair and they were happy to help immediately after I had been turned away by several orthodontists. I messaged them on WhatsApp and they got back to me within minutes and gave me an appointment for the next morning. Their clinic was gorgeous and clean, and the staff were lovely and super welcoming. I was seen on time and they knew exactly how to help me. I was done in half an hour. A HUGE thank you to all of them for being so lovely!!!
Starting your smile journey when you’re 40 is extremely daunting but I can honestly say that everyone at No1 made the whole process enjoyable. They’ve explained every single stage thoroughly, they’ve listened when I’ve been feeling frustrated, we’ve laughed almost non stop, and they’ve always made me feel fully supported. It’s an emotional roller coaster for some people, myself included, but you don’t ever feel alone. I smile all the time now and I refuse to hide away ever again. Thank you all for everything over the last 2.5 years - I promise I’ll wear my retainers!

Where do I start! I was one of the unfortunate ones to have my treatment delayed due to Covid, however that did not stop my treatment going ahead. From day one the entire team have been so friendly and helpful throughout the entire process, and it was honestly a pleasure going into the clinic for my appointments. Any issues (which I had quite a few at my own fault) they got me in straight away and had absolutely no problem assisting where needed. My teeth have been absolutely transformed and I could not be happier! The clinic itself is incredibly modern and a fantastic place to be, there is not a single daunting thing about the place, and I cannot recommend the staff enough. Although I got it free through the NHS, it is definitely a service I would have paid for. Thank you to each and every one of the staff for the laughs and support throughout my smile journey, I will certainly miss it :)

Where shall I start! Always been self concious of my smile since being a kid, I would cover my teeth when I smiled or laughed due to being judged Turning 40 next year, I was soooo nervous but the no1 ladies encouragement and constant monitoring made my perfect smile come true! I have recently finished my Invisalign treatment and I am so so soooo pleased with the outcome. My treatment was a challenge as I wanted my teeth straightened within a specific timeframe for my wedding, but the ladies at No.1 pulled through and helped me get my perfect smile in time! My son has just had his braces fitted and so I cant comment on the final product, but what I can comment on is the service we have received up to this point, which I can whole heartedly say has been fantastic, everyone has been super polite, we have never felt rushed or pressured in any way, every question we have had, has been answered brilliantly, all the technology that has been used has been really modern and new, from the X ray machines to the 3D mouth scanner, everything has been used in a very professional and experienced manner which really boosts your confidence in the staff, right from the start we have felt happy and at ease with all the staff and facilities, very, very happy, cant wait to see the before and after photos in 18 months time.
I had my braces on for about 18 months, and throughout the entire process the staff were so lovely and helpful. I am very happy with my new smile 😁

Came in to get elastics whilst not being a patient at this dentist, they were extremely helpful in finding the closest elastics to what I was looking for and didn't even charge. Amazing and extremely friendly service.
My daughter was referred here from our Dentist. What an amazing team! My daugter was really nervous about the appointment, but Anjli could not have been more helpful and open. She explained everything sh did and put my daughter at ease. From a parent perspective, she also explained the treatments available and how they work. We were REALLY impressed when Anjli talked about braces that suited woodwind/instrument players!!!! We came away really pleased with the consultation and ver upbeat about possible routes for treatment. Might even have to consider something for myself!

I went to this practice for Invisalign which then turned out to be Sparks. I was told this was just as good as Invisalign. I had a online consultation which made it sound like it was an easy process. They decided that a tooth should be removed after tray 2 or 3 to support the straightening of my teeth. When I went for my fitting the top tray had been made as if I had already had the tooth extraction instead of at tray 3. I could see a bit of panic as she quickly thought of other options. One of which included going for the tooth extraction which I obviously wasn’t going to do at the beginning. We agreed that I would only wear the bottom tray for a week whilst they got the top tray remade. During this week, I had insomnia, drooling, bulky feeling, not speaking properly and what they don’t really tell you is that it doesn’t hurt to wear but there is constant pressure on your teeth. Also the constant removal of the tray during the day and brushing of teeth really aggravates your teeth and gums. I decided I couldn’t do this journey and lost what was a very large deposit despite their error of making the wrong upper tray on my fitting visit. This is a good practice but it is still in the business of making money and saying the right things

I’ve been with them for about 2 years now and had my braces removed this morning. Throughout the whole process the staff have been nothing but wonderful and so helpful with the whole process. All covid measures were safe and I was never nervous for an appointment! So glad I was referred to these guys as they’re amazing! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for orthodontic treatment and cannot be more thankful :)
I have had the best experience with the NO1 orthodontic specialists. All the staff are absolutely lovely and so helpful. From start to finish the process has been great and even through the pandemic they were great. I actually moved to Leeds half way through my treatment and they continued to be absolutely fabulous, they always squeezed me in for emergency appointments. The results are incredible. I had the clear braces and then have had the teeth whitening too, they look amazing and they have given me so much confidence. I always felt really safe through covid and I always felt like everyone cared so much. Honestly can't thank them enough :)
I cannot recommend highly enough Anjli and all the team at No 1 . Always highly professional as well as friendly and welcoming they always made me feel at ease . My treatment plan was explained thoroughly The Invisalign aligners were easy to wear and I didn’t feel self conscious wearing them . No1 Orthodontic are absolutely fantastic. After hating my teeth and the Dentist for most my adult life I took the plunge and booked an appointment for an Invisalign consultation. As soon as I met the team and saw how friendly and comfortable they made me I knew I was in great hands to go on this journey. 12 weeks into my treatment and it's already the best thing I've ever done, the changes I see in my teeth in such a short space of time has given me such confidence I'm almost smiling like a normal person. Our daughter, Ellie, has undergone surgery recently to realign her upper and lower jaw therefore, requiring orthodontic treatment. Ellie’s treatment from No1 The Orthodontic Specialists has been superb. Mrs Smith has treated Ellie like a family member and supported her through what has been a very difficult journey. Ellie’s treatment from the staff, (particularly Liz) has been incredible, they’ve been attentive and genuine throughout. Mixed emotions today as Ellie’s had her de-bond and although Ellie is super happy with her new smile we will miss coming for her appointments and the friendly atmosphere that buzzes around the clinic. Such a happy team :)
My teeth have been fixed! Yay! The staff here are amazing, caring, supportive as well as friendly. I had to treat them all to a cake as a thank you gift, along with a card. I have been coming here for around 3-4 years and so will definitely miss being surrounded by such lovely people. Thank you so much!
We are absolutely delighted with No1 The Orthodontic Specialists. My son's braces were fitted 10 months ago and today, they came off. My daughter Millie had braces fitted today at No1; the whole experience from the initial visit to fitting was superb. Very friendly and experienced staff who reasurred a nervous girl continually. Liz was excellent and explained the procedure and aftercare in detail.
Anne-Marie and the team are professional and very patient focused. Superb experience from our first encounter. My daughter dislikes the dentist however Anne-Marie and team have changed her perspective. Highly recommend.

When I started I wasn't sure what I was letting myself in for but Anjli and the team made me feel at ease and fully informed all the way through. Then I needed them to speed it up as my daughter decised to get married and I didn't want to wear braces for the wedding photos or feel self conscious doing the speech, meeting new in-laws etc. Anjli was cool with that and helped work out an accelerated schedule. I got the result I wanted and all in plenty of time. There was a lot of photos taken on the big day and I was smiling from ear to ear all day long. When I look back at them I'm so please with the result and how good No 1 we're. Can't recommended them enough.

My daughter has just finished her treatment, involving twin blocks & braces, and with the support & expertise the team provided she took it all in her stride and now has the most wonderful smile! I first decided to have my teeth straightened late 2015, I had my consultation with Anjili who is one of the orthodontists at the practice. Anjili explained at the assessment stage and I decided to go ahead and have the treatment and have the brace fitted. This was due to three main reasons. 1) I wanted straight teeth. 2) I felt very confident with my the choice of practice, and my dentist had also recommended this practice, whom is a competent dentist 3) It was time to completely put my traumatic event to rest which had happened at the age of 9 with a difficult dentist extraction which prevented me from accessing orthodontist treatment in my teens. So in 2016 I began my treatment and everything was explained clearly. The staff are competent and knowledgeable as well as welcoming and helpful. I found the treatment easy going and I would find myself relaxing during the appointments. Nineteen months on, my brace is off and I have straight teeth for the first time and it feels wonderful.
